why don't you upgrade source and amp like someone had already suggested and get higher impedance DT990s, the 600s are supposedly amazing, that's my next pair after i get my amp upgrade

i have a hard time believing that the higher end 7xxxseries will be out by december although that would be awesome but i just dont think its gonna happen maybe if they were going to 28nm, my personal opinion is the 7970 and 7950 will be out late q1 2012, i couldnt wait any longer i picked up...

this gives me hope, i just got my third monitor for eyefinity (3x U2311H, Thanks Platano) and i have a ASUS HD 6950 2GB reference GPU atm, was planning on going for a 7970 when it came out but now that its not going to be released til q1 2012 at the earliest i have my eyes set on picking up...

IIRC recomended requirements for BF3 is HD 6950 (this is for high settings on 1080p im guessing)

dont xfire with that mobo, it would be a waste just to have that second GPU running on only 4x, if your itching for upgrading maybe upgrade your mobo in preparation for xfire 7 series cards if you have you heart set on xfire, if not then maybe sell your 6870 for a 6950 or 6970 since 7 series...
