Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi there It would be great if anybody could help me a bit on this.
I was installing a zalman VF-900 and I was wondering if there is a connector for a for a fan on the card itself (x1900xt) there seems to be a 3 pin connector in the upper right corner but I am not sure if this is really the...
Thank for all your replies people!
I have ordered a Zalman along with a syringe of Artic Silver 5. And I do think I have a adequate airflow, just take a look at my sig,
it's amazing how they all are inaudible with the stock cooler on the ATI running in my case... heh.
And the stock...
I was wondering if anybody could lend me a bit of wisdom.
I have a Sapphire X1900XT 512MB video card and I have been thinking for a long while now about replacing the stock cooler. This is because I have read on numerous forums that the stock coolers, well... just ain't good enough. Oh, yeah...
No keyboard?
and no cd rom?...
First of all, most computers won't boot if there isnt a keyboard connected at startup, do you have an existing operating system installed?
To my knowledge, no it's not possble if you don't have a keyboard, Unless you can make an unattended install disk...
Remember, nVidia set their stock hardware settings at lower quality (ie. texture quality, AA and various other settings) than ATi to win the FPS race, so a nVidia card with the same score as ATi card is not tangible, I would think that ATi cards would score higher if their settings were lowered...

Well, my went all the way up to about 80 °C before I installed ATi Tray Tools... but I would'nt let my x1900xt get far above 60°C, I think thats pretty safe.
Yes, my case was that my case... (ehmm, yes?)... was a bit on the cheapy side. 110$ but as I live in Iceland everything here costs about 40% more. Eg,"its cheaper in America." :P
My cheapo case, maybe Il modd it someday:
Thanks for the thought on case buying alan.p . :)
I also had the problem, I was running Oblivion when I suddenly got a black out.
Me being paranoid, I ran Oblivion again and shut it down after a few minutes of play,
and checked the ATI overclock tool, the card was at 83 °C so that can't be good. Then I noticed that there wasnt coming much...
I was just wondering...
Have any of you ever had to bend the metal fixing plate on your gfx-card, specifically ATI cards? And If you have, didnt you feel a bit scared applying brute force to that metal and bend it so it could fit?
I wasnt comfortable at all bending my newbought "from the...

I can't say that I "see" any relevant different, however the feel of smoothness is very good to have, 30FPS is "chunky", 45 FPS "medium chunky", 60 FPS "smoothing out", 125 FPS "like silk". ;)
And high fps is a must in fast paced games, think about doing quick turns and looks around corners...
