Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
It's been so long! Time flies when you're having fun I guess. :)
Life has been busy, as always, but I've been fortunate enough to get pockets of time here and there to make some progress. I've piled up a few pictures, so it's time to share! :D
First, as indicated last time, I went ahead...
Looking more and more like my life is allowing for monthly updates... sorry for the long delay. :( I've worked little bits and pieces each weekend for a few hours at a time... so while I haven't shared in a while, at least I saved it up and have a large bit to share now! :) Anyway, on to the...
Hello everyone! :)
I've made some nice progress on the drive cage over the past few weeks, and got far enough that I figure it's time to share some of that progress! As you will recall from last time, I had cut out the side walls of the drive cage and cut the air vents out of them (albeit...
It's been woefully long since my last update. :( Family and holidays will do that, I suppose. I've made a few tiny bits of progress that I will share, anyway! Hoping for a free day sometime soon so that I can keep moving on this... otherwise it's going to go on for 2 years instead of just 1...
Haha I know the feeling... I wish I had more time... I'd do this as a day job if I didn't have other financial obligations... :D
Thanks! Happy to provide any details you are interested in... no secrets here. ;)
As soon as I get more time (hopefully this coming weekend?) I'll be following...
Hello Everyone! :)
It's been a bit of a delay since my last update... had a few weddings to attend followed by a delightful Windows 8.1 upgrade corrupting my storage drive ... so things have been busy. Fortunately, I'm back in business now, and have make a few bits of progress on the...
Well, my hand is feeling quite a bit better at this point, and the work I was doing that caused the original injury is now complete! It doesn't look like much work now that it's all together below... but it took quite a few hours to get this all done and right. :p
First, to make sure there were...
Now that I had the basic reassembly completed, time to start preparing some of the components I've assembled for installation into the case! :D
First, I started with rebuilding my reservoir that was 'disassembled' by my cat a while back. I decided to go ahead and cut a new top/base...
Hello everyone! :D
Picking up where I left off last time, I was starting to reassemble my case. Last time, it was just the clamshell that was really put together... only a few tabs fitting into slots, and a few screws to put the wheels on. Now, it's time for some rivets. Sorry in...
Thanks! :D
Also, on a side note, got a notice that Bitspower has released new full cover blocks for the Nvidia Titan... can anyone say "upgrade"? :D:D
So beautiful.
Thanks! :D
As far as how long I've spent on painting... dear god, I shudder to even think. Easily over 100 hours. Probably closer to 200 hours...
Granted, I was over-cautious most of the time as I had zero painting experience going into this... so a lot of research, testing...
Thanks!
So far, I'll be putting in the same hardware that's listed at the first post... over a year old at this point, but still pretty good!
For a recap:
Case: Lian-Li PC-v2000b
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K
Motherboard: EVGA z77 FTW
Graphics: EVGA GTX 680 SC+
RAM: 16GB of...
Hello Everybody!
Man... it's been a hell of a month. This is quite literally my first day off... in fact, my first 8 hours in a row off... since I got back from vacation in the middle of last month! Work has been absolutely insane. But, I finally have a little time to myself... and...
It's a great case. I had some serious reservations about cutting into it in the first place, just because I liked it as it was and knew it would be hard (if not impossible) to find a replacement.
I'm eager to see what it looks like all put together as well... hope it looks as good as it does...
