Corsair VX450w won't turn on after a long use

Yeah, probably I'll need to buy another PSU. I just thought that maybe, just maybe replacing some electronic component I could fix it. Thanks for the help.

Corsair VX450w won't turn on after a long use

Most of the times, nothing. But sometimes only the PSU fan spins for half a second. Using a paperclip to turn on only the PSU I've the same behaviour. It's realy weird.

Corsair VX450w won't turn on after a long use

Hello! I've a Corsair VX450w that I'm currently using on a spare computer as a media server/samba. It's not a power demanding build, (E5300 and only two HDs, using onboard graphics). But here's the issue, if I leave this computer on for more than 5 or 6 hours and shut it down, it won't turn on...

Newbie to linux, suggestions for an old Netbook...

I think LXDE or Openbox are the graphical interfaces for better performance. You can try out Lubuntu (Ubuntu with LXDE), Crunchbang (Debian with Openbox) or Archbang (Arch with Openbox).

    Home use linux gui

If you want a customized system, I think Arch distro is the way to go. It does have a learning curve, however it's not that hard, specially with the help of the Arch Wiki. After the install, you will just have the base system and then you can choose and configure your Window Manager and Destop...

    OS For Dell Mini 12

I think Lubuntu will run just fine, since LXDE is very fast and have a low resource usage. And if you're going to use an email client, I would recommend Claws Mail.

Windows XP no ineternet with LAN access

If you're using a router with DD-WRT you may find a tab called Access Restrictions. There your're able to block computers by MAC address, address or IP range to access the WAN interface. As you can see on the screenshot below.

Linux Distro for an XP convert.

Also Mate is a fork of Gnome2, because most users didn't like the new interface of Gnome3. Another distro that you can try out is Lubuntu (Ubuntu with LXDE Window Environment). It's lightweight and fast. After boot the system won't use more than 150mb.

Cannot make Linux LIve USB boot stick.

You can also try these two: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ http://www.linuxliveusb.com/ And if you're using DD I always set BS=4M. Don't know if it makes a difference. You might try this as well.

Trouble Re-installing Windows 8 on Dell Laptop

Do you have a backup of your files? If so, I would format/clean the whole disk and after reinstall Win8 from a DVD or USB. If you're using UEFI bios, your OEM serial key will automatically be used during the Win8 install process.

PC not staying in sleep Mode

Have you upgraded your motherboard bios recently? Anyway, just check your bios for the "Legacy USB Mouse/Keyboard" option and enable it. This will emulate the keyboard and mouse as PS/2 port and you might avoid these wakeups.

Is YouTube running like crap for you to?

Refresh the cache of the whole page using CTRL+F5. This will force the youtube player to choose a new server. Most of times this little trick work for me =)
