The cable it came with is dual-link DVI, so it can deliver 120hz at 1080p, so you don't need a Display Port cable -- unless of course your video card does not support dual link DVI. In which case get a Display Port cable from monoprice.com
If your to too picky about backlight bleeding, it's a phenomenal monitor. I am assuming you like glossy screens and your video card has a Displayport output.

I got the 27" and I am glad I did. The large size is great for 3d immersion. Text is sharp. Jaggies are not bothersome in games as long as you have the horse power to do 4x or 8x anti-aliasing. One thing though, I heard pro FPS gamers prefer around 23 inches so they can see the whole screen...
