I honestly don't have a clue. I would post a new thread and ask that question to the general overclocking forum. You will have a much better chance of getting an informed answer. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Good luck!
How do I cool my CPU more without going to a thermalright 120.
Theoretically, would adding a second fan to add to my inner upper hard drive case (using supplied clips) push/pull help? Will this interfere with my XFX 8800GTS? Right now, I have the entire bay assembly removed for better...
Good idea. There is a post about max VCore settings for quad cores on this site. I think it is under the topic Intel Processors and was written by BillParrish. Try a search for "Max vCore for Q6600 on Water". Yes that is the same helpful fellow who has helped me with my oc questions. I...
First, let me start by saying my computer is anything BUT stable at 3.6 right now. lol I think 3.6 is unrealistic with my arctic cooling freezer 7 pro.
I have read that uGuru doesn't give accurate of temperature readings for quad cores. uGuru shows my CPU temp as 54, while CoreTemp shows...
I don't know if you have your computer in a freezer, but I don't see how you can have that low of a temp with full load on a q6600. I admit, this is my first build and I a total novice when it comes to computers. I can get no where near that low of a temp running full load (Prime95) after...
Okay, I changed these voltages.
VCore 1.3575
MCH 1.29
Everything else left the same.
Prime95 ran for over 8 hours without a problem, temps 1degree higher.
Being a glutten for punishment, I then tried for my "holy grail" 3.6 GHz.. I would like the Extclk to match my memory at 400mHz...
Thanks for the reply.
I will up the voltages as you suggested.
It was Prime95 error I received, not an Orthos, if that matters. I think I got tired of running Orthos, after an overnight run, and went to Prime95.
The timings on memory came from OCZ 's website.
Thanks for the info!
This is my first build and I just would like a little guidance.
