    That's exactly what I'm afraid of, not being able to play my music through all 5 speakers. I actually care more about being able to play stereo music (front and left variation) through all 5 speakers than about playing PC games' audio in 5.1 sound,. (I don't play many PC games).

    Yes I have. With both the Logitech and Yamaha speakers on full bass settings, the Logitechs aren't that much more impressive in the bass department. The volume definitely can go very loud though.

    I may need to bring this set back, the bass is really weak on mine. :( There's no way that my 10 year old $50 Yamaha 2.1 speakers should have stronger bass than this one. I tried it with the Xbox 360 hooked up via Optical as well, so I know it isn't just my onboard soundcard. What a pain...

    XP, as it says in my sig. Anyways, I either stumbled upon a fix by accident, or the problem fixed itself because it now works again. I played around with the settings in Media Player Classic and it somehow did the trick, and all this time I was tweaking Winamp settings to try to correct it.
