Got a reply from the US stockist. They said "We have one unit left, but we'd like to reserve it for a US customer. Sorry" ... Whyyyy!
Hey Yoy0YO, did Amazon say it would post to NZ? I tried to order one and it said shipping not available to Oz. If they can post to NZ they can sure as...
I hear ya. I'm desperate for one of these in Australia. I don't think the SG05 stock 300w will last very long with my HD5850. It's making a constant buzzing noise, even when the PC is off :( I just hope it doesn't blow and take out my whole system.
I'd order one from Amazon, but they won't...
I swear I saw a pic of someone with a Vapor-X 5850 in an SG05 and it fits without modding. Perhaps it was the SG06 afterall (I didn't realise it was 5mm longer. Wish I'd known that before).
Anyway, the card itself fits nicely in the SG05, but I couldn't install it with the power connectors...
The front on the SG06 actually makes quite a difference to the looks department, esp. next to the TV like that...
I got the SG05 coz I thought the 06 front would impede airflow.
I think I have the buyers remorse :_(
Btw, now that the ST45SF is out, is the 5870 the best you can shoehorn into...
I'm also having problems with my H55-ITX. Got it about a week ago, system wouldn't POST, and no error beeps. Removed everything except vid card, RAM, CPU, same thing. Removed RAM, no RAM error beep.
I returned the board only to get told it's fine, but they sent me a new one. I didn't think I...
Wait, what? Wow, you're right, the lower part is removable!
Thanks for telling me, I'd've had no idea otherwise. Only thing is, I didn't get a replacement with mine :(
(I wish I did get one without logo, it'd neaten the front up a bit.)
Question: What are you supposed to put in this hidden...
I wish I could be sure of getting this in April, but being in Australia...
I had to order an HD5850 for my SG05 instead :(
Btw, what's the most powerful vid card you could run on this?
Thanks for confirming that Steeeeve. I didn't ask the original question about the extra bay, but I wanted to know. Was thinking of having a fan controller in there, and modding the faceplate so it sticks through.
It's probably been said, but it looks like the odd CPU socket placement is due to the onboard WiFi.
I've ended up going for the H50 (haven't put it together yet), but wish I'd been able to put in my GeminIIs.
I wonder why they didn't place the wireless card on the UNDERSIDE of the board...
You're right, 75w is quite a bit. I think I was deluding myself because I've gone nVidia for all my computers since high school, and I'm suffering a little pre-separation anxiety.
I've done a lot of reading, and there's really no reason at all to get a GTX 470 over an HD5850, especially in a...
Would the stock PSU handle a GTX470?
I was going to get an HD5850 simply because of the low power usage, but it looks like the 470 only uses an extra 75w at max load.
Btw, any news on the 450w release date yet? That would really clinch the GTX470 for me (or possibly 480).
I don't really want to overclock at all, but I am interested in getting it as quiet as possible.
I thought perhaps larger fans would help keep things cool and quiet/er.
I would like it if a GeminII s could fit on there (then I could fit a regular GeminII, same width), but I'm pretty sure it can't.
I think I read that maximum width is 110mm at best.
Thing is I don't have one so I can't know for certain, and noone seems to have a thread about aftermarket...
I love this thread :)
I'm planning on putting together an i7 860 on a Zotac H55-ITX in this thing, and it looks like I'll need to use a Corsair H50 to cool it (wierd CPU socket placement).
My question is would the H50 fit with two 140mm fans and would it make any difference to temps...
