Verizon upgrade time, need some advice

See and this right here is why I come to [H]. I didn't know any of that about the cpu clocks or the gpu's. Thanks for the info, looks like I'll be getting the Nexus. I almost got suckered by a spec sheet apparently.

Verizon upgrade time, need some advice

I've been rocking my old HTC Eris for quite some time now and was mincing about changing carriers or maybe going prepaid but my situation has changed and I'm going to stick with Verizon for now since my new job requires communications on the road all over the lower 48. I have some fairly...

Facebook Teen’s Father Shows Some Tough Love

From one of his recent facebook posts: "(Hey, aren't the 25 thousand of you who subscribed really regretting it now? I'm always this scatter brained. Makes you wonder how I formed enough sensible sentences to write a book doesn't it? Then again... maybe that accounts for the book sales being...

Dev Says Piracy Prevents PC Exclusives

Ex game pirate here. I won't try and justify my past downloading habits, but I will say that once Steam/GoG came along, I never pirated a game again. My backlog is so huge now I doubt I will ever be able to play them all. If the price is right folks like me will buy like crazy and hoard...

Do I need a new sound card for Ableton live?

Also, do you have Live's driver error compensation set so that overall latency is at or near zero?

Do I need a new sound card for Ableton live?

You would definitely get lower latencies with a discrete sound card. I use a low-mid end external card from M-audio(Fast Track USB) and can push the buffer down to 128 samples with an older Phenom 2 system in most cases, depending on VST load.

    Audio Lag

nope, because you would only use that when you were say watching a movie and need the speakers when you use your cdj's it will no longer be going through the computer except for recording purposes

    Audio Lag

You can definitely have the computer hooked up to the speakers, just not directly. I looked at the manual for your mixer and just have the PC out go to channel one, and the cdj's go to 2 & 3. If you want to hear the pc's audio, bring up channel 1. If you just want to mix, bring down channel 1...

Nope, the mixer sends line level signal to everything but the headphone stage

    Audio Lag

Unless those subs are powered, and also have mids and highs, they're probably not going to work out for you in the way you mention

    Audio Lag

As far as being able to use your speakers for your PC and DJ setup simultaneously, you can definitely do that if you send your PC's output to one of the mixer channels. You will need that adapter you listed or something similar to get signal out of all the speakers from the mixer. As for the...

    Audio Lag

You have a couple options here. If you're using onboard sound you _really_ don't want to try to monitor through the sound card. It's workable with a decent card that's designed with low latency in mind, but all the tweaking in the world and ASIO drivers won't change this fact. Essentially...
