    Strange raid6 performance?

I did find a newer firmware so I upgraded. Didn't see much of a difference. Apparently the p6t v2 automatically sets pcie slot #3 to 1x if slot #2 isn't populated. But with a manual setting in bios I am not up to this:

Sorry it took so long to respond. I think I have a sweet spot for performance\heat. It seem to be able to run stable at 3.8+ but my heat gets up to high 70s low 80s. I am running a bunch of stuff in this box so I am going for something a bit more mild. I am running at 1.25V 18x200 (3600)...

    Strange raid6 performance?

I just setup my new computer and am getting what seems like strange (low) performance from my raid6. I have 8x 7200.11 seagates connected to an lsi 9260-8i. Anyone tell me if this is normal?

Bärsärkar-gång: SFF Low Power Water Cooled

The water cooling stuff is awesome. You have a long way in learning how to properly solder. FYI soldering iron >>>> soldering gun. Its like trying to cut a slice of bread with a chainsaw. If you every try to desolder something and you don't care about the part but care about the board you...

FYI don't try to stress test your cpu with one computer and stress test your hard drives on another computer at the same time hooked up to one UPS. OVERLOAD! Not to mention its like 85F in my room now.

So anything under 80 in realtemp while running linx/prime95 should be okay?

HT is enabled. I'm using W7 so supposedly it should handle HT better than Vista or XP. Load temps were up to mid 70s with a H50 at 195\21x.

I am atleast semi stable 21x, 195bclk, 1.35. Haven't gotten time to check it yet but the temps were a bit high I'm thinking it might not like 200bclk. I'm going to shoot for 21x 190 at 1.3. I'll post back with my findings.

If it is memory that is the issue then If I found I was not long term stable at 3.8 with 200 and 19. Would running the memory slightly slower with 190 and 20 work better? I will try that out later on today but just want to get your feedback...

    Good drive checker?

To check my 7200.11 1.5s I ran them through 48+ hours of Bart's Stuff Test + Winthrax. Seemed to weed out the weak ones.

What is wrong with case designers?

Compromise was 1x EX-23N and 2xEX-34N. If it had 10 bays I would have gone for 3x EX-332.

What is wrong with case designers?

Ironically the pc-a17 this is the smallest case I could find that will hold 1x 5.25 and 11 hard drives all getting direct cooling. If you have an Idea for something smaller that works for my needs I'm all ears.

Hmm interesting after a full default reset in bios and disabling all the stuff I don't want I seem to be semi good at 1.35 now at 4. 1.3 doesn't boot windows.

I am installing W7 right now I will do some more testing in a few minutes. I just saw all these people bumping up voltage to 1.35 and setting the speed to 200 multiplier to 20x and getting 4. I just thought it was odd that I can't even post at 4 when D0s are supposedly nearly guaranteed to do...
