    Abit mobo: can I just take out my dying Northbridge fan?

    I replaced my NF7-S boards NB cooler, and on another Abit board, years ago using the same Zalman (ZM-NB47J) heatsink. Works like a charm. I wouldnt use the heatsink without the fan, especially since the replacement isnt very expensive or hard to install.
