That is part of their design and fully intentional. You will see the same thing with any monitor that is actually showing things properly. If the banding wasn't there then you should get worried. Besides, this has already been explained couple of pages back.

Ok, thanks. So at least I won't get an electrical shock from the stand. Question still remains though whether or not this part should normally be visible. How is it on your monitors? After using this monitor for some time I've noticed that there appears to be one hot pixel. Or it might not be...

Ok, got L245WP-BN now. Rev802 manufactured in Poland like the one Voetsjoeba reported couple of week ago. Interesting indeed that they are still manufacturing this monitor - I really thought it had been discontinued. Service menu shows 0 hours of usage and package too was in pretty good...

    LG L246W

I am looking for rev 706 (manufactured June 2007) or newer L245WP-BN / L246WP-BN since it's supposed to have some of the original faults fixed. Anyways, I know that revision marking is printed somewhere on the retail box but where exactly? Would be great if someone who already has this monitor...

    LG L246W

Ah, interesting. Thanks for the correction then. I assumed that this would have been rare defect because after reading this whole thread through this problem or method was mentioned only in last two pages as far as I can remember. Since there has been over a year worth of discussion about WP...

WH model is completely different display from WP models. It uses cheap TN panel, which in many ways is inferior to P-MVA panel. Most reviews, tips and tweaks mentioned in this thread won't apply at all to it either. In that regards your message and parts of my reply are rather off topic content...

EDIT: Just noticed that my remark was already answered.

Did you already try manually change input signal from VGA to DVI via display's own OSD menu?

Also L245WP-BN (and L246WP-BN) monitors manufactured prior to June 2007 are apparently earlier revision and may have all kind of problems. It was never confirmed when that particular monitor reviewed by XBit Labs was manufactured, but if you read the comments at the end of the article, there are...

    LG L246W

L246WP-BN and L245WP-BN are essentially the same monitor, but with slight differences in how the bezel looks (differently shaped and located power led, control buttons in different locations). Thus I would expect that they both were discontinued at the same time though I do not have any source...

    LG L246W

Actually you might want to stick with what you have now - dead pixels or not. Apparently this is an old and discontinued model, so chances are that LG might not have any of them left in stock for replacement. In that case they will instead give you nearest matching model and currently all their...

Hmm... so you claim that your SRGB colors look good and only bit washed out compared to wide gamut colors? I am asking this because in my 2408WFP SRGB looks really horrible and washed out no matter what brightness & contrast settings I use. Like as if there was gray between my eyes and screen...

I do see those images greenish. The one you posted last has the worst green. Only noticed this though when comparing browser window between 19" TN monitor and 2408WFP. TheBlackHole and ReelMcCoy, did you check those images in another monitor as well and still didn't notice any green? At least...

    Dell 2408WFP Now Available

Hmm... would using sRGB color settings instead of default (?) wide gamut colors then make a difference? Someone should try that in addition to game preset mode & native resolution that you already mentioned. Anyways, I am just hoping that Nav had somehow made a mistake and real imput lag would...

    LG L246W

L246WH-BN definately isn't their new 24" model since it has been on on the market for at least 6 months. I think that the new LG 24" model is supposed to be W2452 or something. At least that was what LG's customer service had answered to Crisbe a month ago. Anyways, that too will most likely...
