Check this out: https://youtu.be/eNiI2h-fECs Direct comparison 34" ASUS PG34WCDN vs LG 39GX950B. I suppose the LG is in many ways the same as the AW3926QW. Getting my pg34wdcn in a few days. The difference in black quality is very noticeable on camera.

    34 inch oled best

Yeah, I just looked into it. It is the same monitor except 280Hz refresh rate, different stand and Display port 1.4 instead of 2.1. As there is no need of DP 2.1 for 1440p 280hz. Should be more affordable as well.

Ordered the PG34WCDN. It is the peak technology right now. Also got a perfect deal, the price below MSRP. Kinda used my military discount. ))

That's the one I'm aiming at. Hate the 5k though.

I am not sure if the 34" size is worth it even with all the advancements included over the current LG 42C2. I don't think so. Those display are way too expensive and the hole PC stuff is on the decline in general.

I'm currently debating on getting the new Asus 5th gen. What worries me is how much immersion will I lose compared to the current LG C2 42" in terms of size of the display, and how is the eye strain on the 5th gen qd oled compared to the LG OLED.

Rant: switched back to IPS after being on OLED for a year

I can only attest to the OLED flickering which is certainly annoying. The rest is more like personal, sole issues😁 I'd like to go back to IPS but I couldn't stand the IPS glow\bleed or grey blacks, or object glowing due to the fald tech, mimicking the OLED performance.

    42" OLED MASTER THREAD

I never disabled the ASBL on the 42c2 nor on the 55c7. It only happens during desktop use such as browsing, and never in games or movies playback. Actually, it did dim in movie playback at first, and I really didn't like that and thought this C2 was kind of broken unless I play games on it...

    Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240 Hz OLED

All squares are very visible on the C2, so it is not an OLED issue.

Black crush is most likely due to bad calibration. There is near black flicker, but no detail loss.

No, I haven't measured. Standard mode is very easy on eyes though.

Sure it does, in negative way. Although the eyestrain from the Boost setting is even worse.
