Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The latest from Visiontek and Outpost.com:
Just spoke to both places about the XT PE. Outpost says that they will be receiving (potentially) a shipment of around 40 cards tomorrow (7/20). This will NOT be happening as I have just spoken to a sales lady at Visiontek and Visiontek will be...
That's all very true. I think ATI is simply being prudent with their dates. I would bet that that date would change significantly in the next few weeks simply because I do not think that Outpost is moving the dates back a week every week just for fun. However, if the September 15 date is firm...
A good point, but I think that if ATI were only beginning to sell them Septermber 15th it seems incongruous that Visiontek would/could begin selling them on July 20th?
That is exactly what my post does not say. I never said that it is in stock and ready to be shipped but rather that it is "available" through the pre-order / back-order avenue. I have an XT PE purchased through Outpost that will hopefully ship on 7/20 as they will receive anywhere from 20-90...
The post above has some misinformation. I do believe he meant the PCI-E version is available September 15th. The AGP x800 XT Platinum Edition is "available" now through many of ATI's retailers as well as those companies that rebrand ATI's cards i.e. Visiontek. The x800 PRO is available in...
I have spoken to Outpost.Com three times today and have received a decently consistent story as to when they will have the VisionTek Xtasy x800 XT PE in and ready to send out to customers. They (supposedly -- three different folks told me as much) have a shipment of 40 cards arriving tomorrow...
