Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thank you! Brightness was actually set to 100 (max). Lowering it did immediately improve the blacks alright. Unfortunately I did not have time to fine adjust this or other settings, but as soon as I have a spare moment I will, as the default value(s) seems to be non optimal.
All settings are out of the box standard, but i will post them tonight, only reason i could post picture now is because I have them all online, the brightness settings requires physical contact :-)
I took several pictures of the monitor when unboxing it, here is one of them which kind of shows how I experienced the black level. I know the picture is not sharp or anything and also might not be completely true to life, but it still kind of shows what I'm talking about.
I know black levels are not supposed to be the best with IPS/PLS, I have tried a few of these panel types in the past, the problem is that I have never seen it this bad before. Tonight I will try to adjust the brightness to see if that helps.
I got mine yesterday. I was initially very surprised about the black level being so bad. I haven't seen any comments about this anywhere, so I am wondering if my display is actually faulty or perhaps my expectations was just too high!
Thanks for the help cesium666...
Now does anyone in here own either the Edifier S530D or S730. I am thinking about ordering one of these sets instead, but would like to know if they too have the problem with the channels being swapped when using digital input.

Okay... let me know if you get around to test it... I am thinking about re-ordering them as I have now concluded that the sound was better than the z4's, also I like the digital input.
I don't get it, what do you mean by "switch the outputs for the speakers" ?
Are you saying that when you are using digital input the output for the speakers are swapped but the output from the volume dongle to your headphones is not?
In my system both the speaker output and the headphone...
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that your not alone.
I got my Edifier S330D set today, and guess what. I have the same left right swapped on digital input issue as well. Which not only makes me skeptical about the brand in general after reading this forum but also make the speakers...
