Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I ended up using NetDrive. It works pretty well, accept that Windows Server does not detect it as a hard disk, so I can't use it with the built in Windows Server Backup Software. I am currently using it as a drag and drop share for manually backing up files to my FTP site.
Thanks for those links. I tried the map network drive from the first example but it ended up just making another ftp store which Microsoft can't use for some reason. : / Thanks for looking for me.
Haha. I was just asking. Sorry I am a strong non-mac supporter so that is a no go but you make your point. I was just asking how it was safe. But then again maybe everyone's relative definition of safe is different.
Ah! I tried ftpuse too but it was limiting the virtual drive to 1GB for some reason. I was trying to find documentation to change that limitation. I'll check that first link out now though.
No problem, that is a good answer. It doesnt really matter how much a consumer board could support if chips like the i7 only support up to 32gb. Unless you wanted to future proof your machine, such as this board right here.
Yes, correct.
Os is Windows Server Web 2008.
Then I think I could use the built in Windows Backup to make a backup. right now it wont let me make a back up because the physical disks are dynamic and it gives me an error message when I try to use FTP as a local network share. I can post a link...
