I have some questions about the Asus VE278Q:
1. Is windows default font size normal (or you find it big/small and need to change windows to custom DPI size) ?
2. Does Asus have PC software to change brightness, contrast, custom temperature and to make some custom profiles?
3. If not, is...
Thank you for all replies.
I think I'll keep the G500 for now (it's a great mouse) and try to test the G700.
I love the Dual-mode scroll wheel for browsing/gaming and all the other features.
Could anyone please make this test:
put the G700 _laser_sensor_ close to your ear and listen to any noise?
Also try it with the usb cord connected, is if it also silent?
I have a G500 and they make high frequency noise, I can hear it in silence at night, at arm lenght distance.
If I put...
Imagine the scaner sensor a square, if the square vertical is not at 90 degres with the horizontal movement line, the mouse thinks it's moving up or down.
Make this test, rotate the mouse at 45 degrees left (like this \) and move it horizontal to the right, de cursor goes in 45º line down...

Please, also try it with the usb cord, just to make sure if it's also silent.

I would never use a AC Twin Turbo Pro in my ATI 5870.
I don't like the VRM LOAD temps:

(Sorry for the offtopic)
Thanks for the detailed photos, they are very good.
I've measured the metal housing of some solid state capacitors and they are non conductive (from a different video card).
There is some kind of non conductive varnish painting the metal housing of the capacitor.
Comparing the stock ati cooler with the accelero cooler:
http://www.icedesigns.com/srv2/ac5970/target14.html
We can see that one of the standoffs base in the accelero cooler looks huge in size compared to stock cooler.
This is the standoff that Sapphire insulated with the yellow tape in the 4GB...
One thing I noticed from the photos on this review:
Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 4GB Toxic Review
The Sapphire cooler looks like the accelero cooler:
Accelero cooler
Saphire cooler
But in the sapphire cooler, we can see a small yellow tape near one of the standoffs.
It looks like a insulator, maybe...
Here we can see the 3 standoffs and the 8 mounting points:

I was incorrectly mistaking the standoffs with the mounting points, let us know what you find out.
Yes, the vrm heatsink is also bending the board.
Maybe if the pin was taller (like the others), the board would be 1 or 2 mm far away and that would not happen...
Thanks for sharing your photos, I've being reading this topic with interest.
In this photo:
http://www.icedesigns.com/srv2/ac5970/full/2.jpg
It looks like the leftmost pin (at left of the left gpu) is shorter than the others and it appears to bend the board.
Could you take a look and see if this...
I have the exact same problem, but _only_ while pressing left mouse button in PDF documents. it's a very audible _medium_frequency_ noise and looks like it comes from the PSU. I'll take a look at the motherboard coils with the rubber pencil, just in case.
I also have a very high freq. sound...
Do you have that high pitch noise during all game play or just when the monitor switches from windows into the game?
If it's only when it switches to the game it's normal, it's the monitor switching resolution.
Anyway, in any of the above cases, If you don't have it during windows working...
The yellow mark could mean 2 things:
1.If it's a _yellow_interrogation_mark_ and it says "class for PDIports devices", its imagetune driver, and it's ok. It's just a poor choice of icon from imagetune.
2. If it's yellow warning symbol (can't remember but I think it can be an exclamation...
