Benq BL2411PT Contrast white level question/problem

Thx Daniel for the reply! At least I know it isn't a fault with the monitor. Strange though why it increases so rapidly. Anyway I will keep the contrast lower as you say which is adequate for most situations.

Benq BL2411PT Contrast white level question/problem

Hi, I don't know if someone can please answer this but I have an issue with my Benq BL2411. Basically when I increase the contrast on the monitor, the white level becomes over saturated very quickly between 50 and 60. I can test this using the Lagom white test here...

Best color saturation level for games?

What saturation level do most people use for games? I find it hard to get the balance right between richness of colour and over-saturation. I have AMD 7950 card, and I've set saturation in CCC to 115%. If I go too high then skin tone looks too reddy orange and colours bleed too much. But...

Hotkeys for brightness and contrast? Doesn't anybody have a way to do it?

OK, sorry but I periodically ask this on the forums as I just can't believe that AMD don't allow this in their CCC. But how difficult can it be to provide hotkeys for brightness and contrast? AMD allow you to set hotkeys for VIDEO brightness etc., but not IN-GAME! Surely this is a basic...

What is the fastest 60hz screen without LED PWM Dimming?

Fair points, but do you play competitively or just for fun? I think it's more important for hardcore gamers rather than more casual gamers (I would consider myself halfway between the 2). But of course I agree the extra hz must be beneficial, I just wish they could do the 120hz without colour...

What is the fastest 60hz screen without LED PWM Dimming?

Well to be honest, that isn't representative of real-world gaming use. It doesn't seem that blurry, just hard to focus on at that speed. But if you were moving that fast, you wouldn't be attempting to read a sign anyway! For general games (including fps), my monitor is fine, maybe I wouldn't...

What is the fastest 60hz screen without LED PWM Dimming?

I've just got hold of a Benq BL2411 and it's pretty nice. It's 1920x1200, IPS, light anti-glare coating, no PWM, no ghosting, no input lag, uniform screen, no clouding, no flicker, no real problems I can think of. The only slight issue is when I play a 1080p game, if it's DX11 it won't stay in...

LG TV's are 6-bit colour not 8-bit! (Confirmed by email with LG)

I know what you mean, stuck at 720p and no mods etc.! I wonder what the new kids on the block will bring to the table in November? Hopefully more than Fifa 28 and COD 47 lol :) I just saw the review of GTA 5, 10's all round! Another example of the consoles getting special treatment, while...

LG TV's are 6-bit colour not 8-bit! (Confirmed by email with LG)

Do you have an xbox or ps3? I would be interested to know if someone has played a console or pc on one of the newer TV's, and also used to have one of the older 8-bit ones. Would be a good way of testing if any color difference.

LG TV's are 6-bit colour not 8-bit! (Confirmed by email with LG)

I'm guessing Panasonic and all the rest are doing the same. If you look at all the monitors available now, it seems like the higher bit-depth ones have higher input lag and ghosting, so maybe that's why the tv makers are sneakily using 6-bit+FRC. But the old 720p TV's used true 8-bit color (LH...

LG TV's are 6-bit colour not 8-bit! (Confirmed by email with LG)

I sent an email querying this with LG, and this is their response: "I can advise you that we mainly use IPS panels, but that is not always the case, if there are other panels available at the time we can use those as well. So it is hard to specifically say what television has what panel...

Falling brightness level in 'nits' (cd/2) of modern LED TV's

Do I NEED 500 cd/m2? I don't know, I'm just trying to work out what it is/was about that tv (LH 2000) which gave such a good image! It's not even 1080p. Maybe the anti-glare coating is thinner? (But the screen isn't reflective). Maybe it's the higher brightness (which is never on maximum...
