Hey guys,
I picked up a Belkin n300 router to use as an access point on my college network. I'm trying to use it as an access point for our townhouse. I know the usual deal with configuring routers as access points, disabling the DHCP server and connecting the ethernet to the main network...
Also don't know if this helps but here is some info on my system with the new 1GB stick in without the origional 512 (which is causing the computer to still frequently crash).
Also, the 1GB stick I bought from the crucial scan is a 1GB 184-PIN UNBUFF DIMM 128MX64 DDR PC3200 Pb-Free
Didn't get a chance to do the memtest yet.
I ran my PC doctor program with both sticks in it and it failed both the pattern tests. Then I tried it with only the new 1gb stick and the tests passed fine.
However, the computer still is crashing/automatically restarting occasionally, and the...
Just to update, the computer itself crashes semi-frequently. And so do various programs at random times.
I ran the PC Doctor program memory test and it failed both the pattern test and advanced pattern test.
And firefox crashes as I was writing this but thank god for its restoration haha.
I upgraded the RAM in my HP a810n PC from 1 x 512 PC3200 DDR SDRAM to 1.5 GB (keeping that 512 stick and adding a 1GB stick). I used crucial.com to help me find a compatible stick. It may be worth noting that the computer uses integrated graphics (doesn't have its own video card) so the memory...
I own an HP Pavilion e9180t desktop computer.
-Windows 7 (64-bit)
Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz
8 GB RAM
nVidia GeForce GT 220
The computer origionally came with Windows Vista 64-bit. I upgraded to Windows 7, and later did a complete re-install, this time abandoning all the...
Hmm interesting. I thought that because I had this special SiS accelerator thing, or whatever it is, I couldn't add an independent video card.
I'm ok with computers, but have no experience physically with replacing hard ware. I know it's easy to change RAM, but how hard is it to add a video card?
I have an HP pavillion a810n with the following specifications:
MS Windows XP Home SP3
AMD Athlon 64 3300+
512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM Memory
160 GB 7200 RPM hard drive
SiS 760 (graphics)
Whatever that graphics thing is, I don't think it's an actual dedicated video card. The computer would...
