Just to update, the computer itself crashes semi-frequently. And so do various programs at random times. I ran the PC Doctor program memory test and it failed both the pattern test and advanced pattern test. And firefox crashes as I was writing this but thank god for its restoration haha.

What is the difference between 2.5v and 2.6v for pc3200? The RAM frrom here is 2.6v: http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=EA4DDBDEA5CA7304 compared to 2.5v from the link you posted.
