Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
As others have mentioned, you generally won't find 16:10 options until you hit the 24" mark. It so happens that IPS technology is only available from ~23"+ as well. When I had one, I really liked my Dell U2410 (upgraded to a Dell 30"). There is a new LED-backlit revision(U2412) that doesn't...
In general, fan upgrades are for reductions in noise levels (or for a more agreeable type of noise). It's doubtful you'll gain much in the way of temperature reduction compared to the stock Corsair fans, no matter what fans you change to. I don't know about the Akasa Apache fans, but iirc...
Not much of an upgrade from 2600K to 2700K. The primary difference between the 2500K and the 2600K that justified the price difference was hyperthreading...
He asked about whether or not the scroll wheel could be used as a button.
One thing that some mice don't do is keep said profile saved in builtin memory, so you don't need to install the configuration utility on another machine to customize it to your liking.
I upgraded from an i7-920. The time savings in terms of processing power aren't that large, but they exist nonetheless (I primarily benefit in faster compile times). Besides, selling off my X58 components resulted in essentially a no-cost sidegrade, and now my SB build eats fewer watts.
I also own a Mionix Naos 5000. I'm not even a full palm grip user, but it's still the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. You can push the scroll wheel down as an extra button; in fact, you can map it to another key or a macro if you want through the Mionix software.
There appear to be have been QC issues with both keyboards (Poker's frame, Choc's faded lettering), but they may just be first-run issues. At any rate, the Poker should be out of the question for you anyway, since it's a 60% layout. Do you intend on using the function layer (unless you do some...
Posted the 3DMark Vantage scores for the card using the beta 257.15 drivers.
If the Galaxy rep reads this... please check your PM inbox. It's getting tiresome having a card that changes performance with restarts :(.
I'm usually updating the thread at overclock.net first; I posted in these two forums since I've found both forums to be rather helpful during my lurking in the past. I was just curious what people thought I should do... it seems to be a pretty big deal as the 465 is an unreleased card, but I'm...
