Still rocking a 2700k on my rig and 3570k's for the wife and kid. Haven't really seen a need yet to upgrade. I don't play a great variety of games but my son does and he hasn't had any cpu bound issues yet. I was eyeballing the 6700k with 3600-4000 ram, but it just doesn't seem worth it yet. I...
I have the Windows 10 preview running on a PC with the 4890 without issues. It loaded the driver on OS install. No crashes or issues so far for over a month. It's mainly used to play WoW, Borderlands and some random steam games.
These pads have been amazing. About to order a 4th, now for the wife. My son and I have had one for about a year and it's been a much nicer gaming experience. When my kid takes his to the lan parties he attends, people seem to trip out on how nice it feels and how it's as good or better than...
Raise your VCCIO/VTT/QPI voltage just a little. Built a system for my son's friend with a similar cpu (i3-2120) and he's running the 1.35v Samsung ram at 1866. Had to bump his VTT to 1.1v to get it stable.
I've had nothing but problems with failing SSD's from OCZ so not suprising. Although, I've had some Reaper ram running in a couple of systems that has been outstanding in performance for years.
I've had it for a while now and it's been performing great. Idle temps are slightly higher then when I had the Noctua NH-D14 but load temps are less which is what I was worried about.
These drivers fixed a problem for me when Black Ops 2 would crash if Firefox was open in the background or after I finish playing Borderlands 2. Don't know how or why it was happening but it hasn't happened since I updated.
Plus, I've seen compatibility issues with 6950's flashed with 6970 bios and it not booting on certain motherboards. Have had it happen on 2 Z68's and 1 AMD 770 board. Soon as you flip the switch back to normal it is fine or if you just unlock the shaders it's fine.
