• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Windows 10 data mining has been caught

Why would you think anybody who is concerned about privacy wouldn't care or know about Facebook's privacy issues?

That wasn't a review. They just went over the features.

    Why I am Dumping Firefox

IE9 has excellent malware and phishing protection through its SmartScreen Filter. And for those who have said that Chrome isn't secure, you obviously don't understand how its sandboxing works. At default settings, IE and Chrome are more secure than Firefox.

Apple Finally Snares The Beatles Catalog?

Outdated in what way exactly? I'm surprised anyone would describe them as being dated.

Apple Finally Snares The Beatles Catalog?

I'm not interested in your opinions of these bands. My point is, they are a better representation of modern music. Mentioning a bunch of untalented, well-known pop artists and then concluding all modern music is garbage is completely lazy.

Apple Finally Snares The Beatles Catalog?

Why the hell are Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber being referenced so much? Is everyone's knowledge of modern music really that limited on here? I hope you guys are at least familiar with Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Wilco and The White Stripes.

Chrome Is Overtaking Firefox Among Power Users?

Are you guys using NoScript for privacy or security? At default Chrome is probably as secure as Firefox with all these add-ons because of the sandboxing.

    why use Nero/Roxio?

This is a good idea if you get a free copy somewhere, but who would be stupid enough to buy it, then do such a bare install when there are so many great free alternatives available.

    looking for eye candy

I installed the gnome Art Manager, Screenlet Manager and Awn Manager. I'm a new linux user, but I was able to come up with a nicer desktop environment using these apps. The Art Manager in particular is a nice, easy way to play around with themes.

New build, should I upgrade the O/S?

I never really understood all the talk of difficulty finding drivers for XP Pro X64. I haven't been able to find an instance where there is a driver available for Vista X64, but not for XP Pro X64. Maybe I'm missing something here.

has TN quality increased over the years?

I'm reminded of the drawbacks of LCD technology every time I turn on my Trinitron CRT, but I still prefer LCD for everyday use due to the sharper text, lower power usage and widescreen display.
