Thank you for the info. Glad to hear it clears the VRM heatsink. PSU is not the problem for me. I am using ATX PSU so I have enough room in that area. Only concern for me is that VRM heatsink, because it is much larger in ASUS Z370i than in my current ASUS Z170i Pro Gaming.

I have Samsung 950 Pro 512GB on the back of my Asus Z170i and I haven't had any issues what so ever. Temps are around 45-50'C in the normal use and 58'C when gaming. I have 140mm intake fan at the bottom so there is some airflow behind the motherboard too.

I chose Asus Z170i Pro Gaming because of the layout and the M.2 slot.

I have Demciflex filters too and I noticed the same thing. At the moment I have installed only the bottom filter since I have intake fan in there. I think it's better to install filters only to inflow areas. There's no point to block the outflow.

Is there anybody who has installed the 950 Pro to M.2 slot in the backside of the motherboard? Wonder how hot it gets in there...

Is that Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD?
