omg, I'm loving the pictures edvb! You even sleeved the sata power cables!!! Also I liked how you removed the metal power supply stand off. I'm thinking about doing that also and adding some foam under there to lessen the vibrations. What kind of foam or material did you use?
Thank you!!! Yeah, it did take a while like edvb said, but if anyone wants to start on sleeving any PSU cables, I highly recommend getting a quality pin remover. It really speeds up the process and eliminates the headaches from removing those damn pins.
I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. Mine buzzes too when I first start it up, and eventually it goes away after like 10 minutes or so. Also, I love this PSU it's awesome.
WOW!!! That is sooo nice I wish I had the patience to do that. Is it hard to sleeve those PSU cables or does it just require the right tools and careful labeling of the wires? I wanna do that, but I don't know what to use to pry out those 24pin, 8pin, and etc wires. I love that black and white...
He charges $40 and has a 30 day guarantee which isn't that bad I think. But I totally agree with you on modding the clamps of the 360. I will probably try that too if and when I get the time to have that guy reflow it. I hope the hybrid fix like you mentioned fixes the design flaw though. Let me...
:(! Now I'm debating whether I should just bake it first or try to get this dude I found on craigslist who fixes xbox360's with a bga reflow station. Oh I'm too indecisive!!! But thanks for all your info godman, but I might just go with the reflow dude, and hope that it might be a "permanent" fix.
Just curious godman, has your xbox 360 been working fine with no problems ever since you baked it? And did you wrap the bottom of the motherboard really well with clothing and foil, or does the bottom not matter as much?
Also, I think im going to use some rope twine that's meant for tying...
Yeah if you could tell us whether it was successful or not i would really appreciate it. Also at what temps you tried it at :). I've pretty much taken apart my 360 and planning to try this, but I need to get a hold of a t9 screwdriver to take the mobo apart from the metal tray.
I got the molding from frozencpu.com. They sell it by the foot, and it's kind of expensive just because they charge you for shipping that costs more than the molding itself. I got around 3 feet of molding which ended up being around $11 shipped. I believe you can get it from...
I want to thank you Burdoror for supplying those dimensions, and I finally decided to make a window after a year of owning this case. I used mounting tape and edge molding to finish the window instead, though! Looks AWESOME!
hmmm :O if it works in the IP35 pro it will hopefully work in the IP35-E. Aren't the only differences between those two boards like fire wire ports and raid for the pro?
