Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Awesome, thanks. So just to clarify, as the power supply only needs to supply power, it won't be affected by any malfunction in the motherboard and CPU that would cause it's silly blue LED light to flash and click and fan start/stop?
Also, do you think it could have caused any damage to my CPU...
I have another power supply (actually I have 4, but 3/4 are dead and accumulating on my shelf) to use, but I'm not sure I have the time to get it out of my current PC and move it over. What makes you think it's the PSU? I'd just like some more details as I want to learn as much as I can about...
PSU makes clicking noise and sizzling sound comes from CPU heatsink when EPS12V is connected. This is a new build, and the CPU I purchased brand new.

Rosewill 550W ATX12V PSU.
The CPU is a Prescott P4 3.0 (or 3.2, I forgot)...
