Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I knew I'd get an S-IPS. Not many Canadian's on this thread so I assumed most of 2007WFP buyers are in the US - probably lots of S-IPS monitors up here.
Dell Customer Service all depends on the day. Usually they're fast and very helpful. But, yesterday I was put on hold while I was being transferred to another sales agent, and I was immediately disconnected after waiting 5 minutes. Didn't bother calling back...

All monitors running a 1280x1024 native resolution are 5:4 (which include most 17" - 19"). You can definately play 4:3 ratio games (640x480 - starcraft, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x960). Either your monitor will determine the scaling, or your graphics card.

Right right... but with respect to viewing angles, this measurement is taken by the manufacturer.. and I don't think there's a "standard" for measuring this. If there was, it would be a heck of a lot easier to compare these monitors. 160° to one manufacturer might be 170° to another, etc...

Also just took a look at the product page...
Dell will ship an S-IPS 2007WFP depending on your location, if there are any left. I think any new 2007WFPs being manufactured are S-PVA. From what I know, 2007FPs have been shipped with S-PVAs for quite awhile now.

Samsung 19": 1440x900, 4ms GTG, A-SI TFT/PVA, 300cd/m2, 400:1, 0.285mm, 160°/160°
Acer 19": 1440x900, 5ms, TN, 300cd/m2, 700:1, 0.284mm, 150°/135°
A few concerns come up when taking the specs of Newegg's...
I believe the Samsung 941BW is a 19" wide, TN, 1440x900, ~0.28mm pixel width. It's the cheapest of all the monitors you have listed and I would assume it's somewhat great for normal use. Because if the large pixel width, if you're really picky your eyes would be able to notice everything is...
