yeah.. it is more purple than red when charging. Good luck. Hopefully batteries will fix these problems though my hunch is that they wont.

Long story short, see if your battery is part of a recall by Gateway and you can get it replaced for free. Go to www.gateway.com/battery. I am doing that now and hopefully that will solve my problem. I will let you know when I receive the replacement. Here is the rest of my story.... I...
