Id recommened sennheiser hd600/650 and denon d2000/5000 cans (around the same price range.) I'm assuming your using them with a computer? to amp them get a xonar essence ST(X) or a Musiland Monitor 002.
Not really, I just use them for playing games honestly they have a good mic. But this card cannot make them loud enough for me at least.
The odd time I use them instead of my 650's for music they are pretty bad.

Im kind of dissapointed with the headphone out on this card, I also have an STX and the headphone out can provide a much louder experience with a simple DBA boost. While this one can't even take my 5hv2 headset I game with to a loud volume ( I like much stuff LOUD!) not to mention my hd 650's,
Ok guys is there a way to stop the headphones from muting the speakers when they are plugged in?
Doest matter whether I plug it in the back or in the front panel they always mute the speakers, its a pain in the ass to unplug them constantly.
I just realized the card isn't seeing the headphones and the speakers as different devices? if I go into windows sound it says the headphones are speakers? if I unplug them the same sound just goes to the speakers?
Is there a way to switch between my speakers and headphones withoiiut having to unplug the headphones? whenever I plug them in the signal automatically goes to them and I can't switch it back without unplugging them.
