I am interested in what you say. What are your examples?

I normally like Hardocp video card reviews, but this one does seem a bit odd. Right now you can get a GeForce 460 for $160 after rebate. The MSI R6850 cyclone costs $175 after rebate. If you look at the review: R6850 cyclone: performs better in 2 games (F1 and BF:BC2) Geforce 460: performs...

There are different panel types. Your typical gaming/consumer monitor is going to have a TFT panel (bad color range but very fast refresh, good for gaming). People who need to do photography (or need high-quality color reproduction for other reasons) use IPS and PVA panels. These are...

You were right - there was no problem. ;) I left the client running, and eventually it uploaded everything. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip! Do you have an upper bound (for the longest it's ever taken you to send a large WU)? The connection is cable (10 Mbps down/512kbps up).

I figured out that DMZ mode opens up all ports on the firewall. So, the problem is something else. Weird.

I put the router in "DMZ" mode for this computer, and the folding client still gets stuck at "attempting." There is also a firewall, but I don't know if that's separate from DMZ mode (DI-624 router). What IP range should I add for the firewall?

That's what I thought at first, so I turned off the Windows firewall completely. Do routers have built in firewalls too?

This is frustrating. I just left my computer running for a couple of days straight. It's now completed its first SMP unit. or so I thought. The SMP client gets stuck at trying to send results. [04:42:32] Completed 250000 out of 250000 steps (100%) [04:42:38] DynamicWrapper...

Hello, I just installed the above console client on my computer last night. But, when I came back in the morning I found the following log: Assembly optimizations on if available. Entering M.D. Tpr hash work/wudata_01.tpr: 1477690178 1856947437 247756397 2581364018 1993040081...

Thanks! So would you recommend getting the SMP client or just installing a second regular client? Are there advantages to one versus the other? Actually, the "FX 4000" is an 'older' Quadro (~2003-5ish). I think there is also a new card that's just called "Quadro 4000." It's kind of...

I think a large reason for why there are all these new members is the computer giveaway. :P To be honest, that's why I joined. I am still trying to figure things out though. I am folding continuously on a Pentium D, and only getting around 120 ppd. I've been reading about video cards such as...

I am entering the contest :-) But why does the hardfolding.com website say that I am inactive? I just submitted my first WU at ~5 pm on Aug. 24th.

Hello, I searched for an answer, but couldn't find one anywhere. Is this giveaway only open to American residents, or can Canadians enter too? Thanks.
