Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
sorry, but that's not exactly the greatest advice imo. considering it's overpriced, doesn't have hdcp support, has very limited flexibility with any system other than a mac...
buy a few cd's or put it in a savings account... I'd spend it on clothes myself.
but if you were to build a computer, the x6800's a waste so is spending 500 on a soon to be outdated card. Get a midrange card for now and save the rest for an upgrade like a dx10 card or something.
Again...

again, please stop with the "because it's cool." It's simply the principle of the whole situation. No, it's not the end of the world, but EA has set some bad precedents. buggy games, lack of support, monopolization, doing away with beloved studios, etc.
No, this isn't the end of the world...
whatever the case may be, i'd be upset too if i was bill. dropping 3 grand on a computer and waiting that long, it must be frustrating. ordered one myself, hopefully and probably turns out better for me. Anyhow, chris seems to be doing an exceptional job for the VM customers on this forum so...
please... it's only 'kewl' to hate EA because they deserve the flak, given their history and business practices. so i suppose being anti-cool is also cool, eh?
art, i think that system's fine. you may or may not want to upgrade your graphics card in the future, but that shouldn't cost more than 200. You might want to consider something else if you're thinking about upgrading the other components though. If i'm not mistaken, that's a btx system...
