    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

A few things: The lower end model TVs are up to firmware 12.22. Most of the updates have been minor revisions (yes without notes) but they come fast and furious for firmware updates. If something did change that affected displaying the BIOS screen there is a good chance that if you are patient...

Witcher 3 will play fine at 4K on a 980ti. You will easily get > 30 fps on ultra settings.

I have played on a 40" & 48" but I will reiterate: Depending on your play-style you may need to adjust your mouse DPI and in-game scroll speed to help compensate for the larger screen size. Otherwise, League plays fine at 4K and looks gorgeous as well.

I commend you on continuing the RGB/YCbCr discussion. :D

Looks A-OK to me with MPC-HCx64. Maybe check that you have UHD color enabled for your PC input?

Do not disagree with using the settings that look best to you. However, the combos that you did not mention are TV Auto/ Card Full and TV Auto/ Card Limited. The discrepancies occur if you assume Auto really means Auto.

You beat me to it but I concur. Want to reiterate, I am advocating using the settings that you enjoy. I just find this interesting.

Not sure I agree with that. See Auto/Full observation above.

Just did. YCBR444/Limited mode looks like Normal:Full It should also be noted that HDMI Black Level is greyed out when choosing this output mode. So based on my totally non-scientific A/B test does this imply that Auto/Low are both Full Range?

Interesting anecdote, after reading those articles I played around a bit with TV and Nvidia settings. Samsung HDMI Black Level: Auto; Nvidia RGB: Full = Passes Contrast and Black Level tests Samsung HDMI Black Level: Normal; Nvidia RGB: Full = Passes Contrast and Black Level tests but...

I am not seeing that behavior with the current firmware on a Nvidia 9xx series with current drivers.

So with all this mention of YCbCr or RGB and HDMI Black Level, I became curious and found some interesting articles: RGB Full vs Limited Correcting HDMI Colour on Nvidia and AMD GPUs Samsung Black Level and Nvidia Settings HDMI Enhanced Black Levels, xvYCC and RGB Interesting bits pulled...

I find this whole line of conversation interesting, in that many of the observations differ from mine. To me having HDMI Black Level set to normal produces very washed out colors. Setting it to Auto/Low provides very deep blacks. With the settings below, I can see all 20 of the lagome black...

WorldExclusive is probably commenting on the use of the word "feel" when people are looking for empirical evidence. Too many folks in this thread make/made comments based on "feelings" versus actual data. Proof may be forthcoming but I suspect he is getting frustrated with statements that are...
