Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia didn't get a whole lot of love from what I gathered. I couldn't put it down. Was the first Castlevania I really liked since SOTN.
The World Ends With You / It's A Wonderful World: This game did some really cool things with game mechanics. You gain experience...
More or less dead, afaik the same company who owns Hellgate now owns Mythos as well. Their market is asia, more specifically South Korea I think. No news on if/when they're going to go forward with Mythos though, and even IF you get an account you're going to be very lonely if you don't speak...
1200$ or there about, the warranty covered it. I'm from europe though, so the price is obviously much more expensive than it would be in the US. Original price for the machine was about 2100$ with a student discount.
Sounds like the symptoms my mbp showed. Closed the lid, went across town and opened it, just a black screen. It booted up and I could log in etc but the screen was not showing anything. Turned out that they had to replace the whole logicboard.
I'd get a stand if you plan on using it as a regular workstation, best thing I ever did after switching to a laptop. A backup solution is also important if you have important data stored on the machine.
I get some hard drive noise from my MBP if I move or create large files. Other than that I usually don't hear it. I'm in a very quiet environment. If you think that it sounds off, take it to the apple store and ask if they think it sounds wrong.
Laptop drives tend to break a whole lot more...
Nothing is official as of yet I don't think, but I'd bet that new Mac Pros are coming at Macworld in January. I myself am looking at Mac Pro, to replace my MBP (thought of a new MBP, but a desktop system makes more sense to me right now) and with apples introduction of new GPUs in the laptop...
If you use the machine to store important data I'd get SuperDuper and do a nightly backup.
I like CoverSutra as an itunes controler, but Quicksilver can do that for free. Growl is the most widespread "program notifier". Really useful. I use 1password for my software licenses and for inputting...
Ok, I'll try to remember and explain a litle more clearly.
So, you got your newly created Bootcamp. You reboot the machine with the windows install disc in the drive. You start the installation process, press F8 to accept the eula and what not. You are presented with a list of partitions, one...
I had this problem as well, when I installed XP earlier. There's a very simple fix, and you know about it (formatting). You don't seem to have actually formated in the installation process, just overwriting the previous install, and that won't work.
1. Install and create a Bootcamp partition...
I just got the mStand. Pics can be found here. Nothing spectacular, and I'm tired as hell so I crapped out on editing/cropping and colorchecking them. One thing is for sure though, this is as close as you'll get to an official Apple stand. A single piece of art. The packaging was also apple...
Boot Camp makes windows easy enough. Both parallells and Vmware can run that partition/system on leopard. You CAN do a tripple boot, but it requires a little/some work. I'd probably just run it virtualized if I were you.
For an extern drive that would be readable/writable by all OSes: FAT32...
A pair of easily driven headphones would be my recommendation. If you're moving around a lot then I'd say get some sort of in-ear or good buds. If you're mostly stationary and willing to spend more then I'd say get a DAC or amplifier and whatever kind of headphones that suit your musical tastes...
Well, the forum ate my thread yesterday :( Second try here we go!
I'm a "switcher" since little over a year ago. The Macbook Pro is my main machine, and it's getting more than a little old to write on the keyboard. I also play some games on occasion. I've got a mouse and a DAC in my USB...
