    Proxmox doesn't let HDDs go to sleep

    *sigh* why am I asked this question all the time :D If I have some VMs, one is for web-stuff (VPN, FTP, Webdav and such things) and another for File-Stuff only used in the LAN and only 1-2 times a week. I think it will kill the HDDs more if they're running all the time, but not needed instead...

    Hi, I got an Opteron 3280 Server running Proxmox and some VMs. I would like to spindown the hdds I don't use. HDparm and HD-Idle don't work. If I stop a disk by hdparm -Y /dev/sda it spins down but starts right after a half second. The problem is pvestatd. Killing this service should work but...
