Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Exactly. I've been in the beta for a week or so and this is the worst part. The PvP has so much potential, too. If they seperate the competitive side of the game with the RPG elements (crafting, upgrading, tiers, etc) then they'll be onto something.
I had the same experience actually; I dominated my first few games. But I'm pretty sure there is a tier system, so you only play with people around your rank. Because once I hit rank 6-8 the game suddenly got REALLY difficult and everyone is a pro. :)
I think its important to make a distinction between violence and then losing in multiplayer games:
In my opinion, as far as violence goes, games are totally cathartic. Just a modern form of the punching bag.
When it comes to multiplayer games, whole different story. Those can be infuriating...
Hey, I never said I didn't like it too. I enjoy BC2 (finally bought it last month) and still play CS:S from time to time. BC2 is really great for teamplay. It's especially fun when the squads are all working together...love it! :D My point was in the sentence you left out: you're limited by the...
Fast paced!
PrincessFrosty said it best earlier.
In Quake/UT you have weapons for all ranges, in both hitscan and projectile varieties; you aren't limited in your destructive capacity. You also move fast and can take a lot of damage. In other words its entirely up to your own skill to get...
Ok, this is for the people who are defending cheating/hacking and see nothing wrong with it. It's really simple: cheating is wrong because it destroys the purpose of playing the game.
Wrong. Games are specifically designed to test players' skills in certain areas and determine who has best...
Ha. I live near St Louis and it isn't that bad downtown. I feel perfectly safe walking around at night. Of course, East St. Louis is a different story. You don't want to drive around there lost and low on gas...believe me... :/
Funny. I was around for steam's launch, when everyone HATED it. The launch was terrible for valve: steam clients freezing up, taking forever to download, unlock or launch games, or outright refusing to play games. People wondered why they had to have this malfunctioning software just to play...
It sounds like you just want to watch movies rather than play games.
I do understand where you're coming from, though. You want to see how the plots unfold, the tech running the game, the techniques of the devs, etc. Which is fine. But even at the expense of the game itself? By skipping out on...
The latest version of Cube 2 was just released the other day.
It is, imo, the best open source shooter out there. I've been involved with the community for awhile now, so obviously I'm biased. But really, its great for old school quake-style duels. Also capture the flag and protect (a new...
