Where can I actually buy EPYC CPUs?

I'm about to get a dual Epyc 7451 system via Supermicro Tower 4023S-TRT using a local reseller. Thinkmate has a decent website to build Epyc systems to get a price estimate on a build before requesting a quote from a reseller.

Bestbuy Dell 27 inch gsync 449

I went and looked at it in the store. It could have been partly due to the strong overhead lighting, but it was difficult for me to enjoy staring at.

Bestbuy Dell 27 inch gsync 449

I was unable to get best buy physical store to price match. Rep claimed Dell allows BestBuy to price match other retailers except for Dell (on Dell merchandise).

Holy Crap! Leaked 1950x benches 45% faster than Intel

I'm in the same boat! And after that answer, I would like to compare to the 6core coffelake for my future build

Holy Crap! Leaked 1950x benches 45% faster than Intel

sounds about right. The 7900x has 62.5% of the cores relative to 1950x. Approximately linear gain is the goal of any parallelized code.

Elon Musk's Plan to Power the US on Solar Energy

Are you aware of designs that utilize subcritical piles ( lower risk that critical piles) and linear accelerators to burn the transuranics from the spent fuel? The duration for which the spent fuel is radioactively harmful to humans reduces from 10,000+ years to 300-400 years. Also...

Elon Musk's Plan to Power the US on Solar Energy

Do you have an understanding of the R&D required to extend from today's LWR to what you've suggested? Sure, those concepts are "end-game" fission solutions if we never harness fusion. However, there are multiple designs that will be utilized before anything that's liquid fuel + molten salt...

$5000 Desktop for Simulations (potential GPU-Acceleration)

Defaultluser, Thank you for the taking the time to assist me! I am still working on the FP64 requirement. I do have some questions, 1. I need ~20 TB of HDD storage included in the $5000 budget. Selecting RAID5 with 4 x 8 TB yields ~24TB. This will cost $1280 with the Western Digital Red 8TB...

$5000 Desktop for Simulations (potential GPU-Acceleration)

The first task I want to perform is image post-processing by particle image velocimetry (PIV) analysis, where I generate velocity vectors of moving particles in a fluid via interpolation between consecutive images (typically 30,000 images per set and I will generate over 100 sets). See the two...
