HP 27xi - Subjective Review
Interesting. The bezel definitely looks slightly longer. Add that extra length to the slighter longer length of the second monitor's bezel and I do think there will be a small gap between displays. Looking forward to pictures of the glow and now this. I hope you find the time to snap and post... -

I just bought the 27XI as well. I first bought the DELL S2740L but I returned it a few days later when I noticed a defect in the glass. It also did not help that it suffered from IPS glow in the corners. The glossy display did not bother me. My last monitor that I used for any length of time... -

How high off the desk should a 27 inch monitor be?
I just have my 27 inch monitor sitting on my desk. My eyes are making contact with near the top of the display when looking straight ahead. Should I place my monitor on a book or something (stand isn't adjustable) to get my eyes in the middle of the display? How high is yours off the desk? -

IPS GLOW - Is this an acceptable amount?
I have the brightness high because it just flat out looks better that way to me. Colors are intense and vivid. That is lost to a great degree with the brightness down to the halfway point. If my blacks have to look like crap in the corners, so be it. Thanks to you and everyone else who replied. -

I originally purchased a DELL S2740L. I returned it because there was a defect in the glass. However, it also had a white glow on dark (black) backgrounds in the lower left hand corner. I decided to try a HP 27XI instead. I like this monitor better. Colors 'pop' in a way I could not make them do...
