I have just received a batch of Toshiba E300's, i have run badblocks on 1 with no errors reported but when checking the smartctl out put i notice the following

Just a standard minimal install of ubuntu 10.10 server, using ext4, raid5 across 3 disks, but 1 degraded at the moment so only 2 disks, both HD201UI's

i used the alternate disc, just created the raid5 using the installer and didnt create seperate boot partition, i believe the latest version of GRUB does read the raid, if you need to to get any details from the system let me know.
