I just crank it to the max which is 790/1100 with stock cooling and no fan hacks. But I have that Arctic Cooling passive heatsink that I'm going to install soon. I'll see what the temps are like and see if I need a fan on top or not.
Funny that with the 8.7 drivers I got about 11,110 in 3DMark06 with stock speed, then overclocking the core 90mhz and the memory 200mhz, I got 11,200. Is 3DMark06 that much of a CPU bound test now? Or maybe my E6600 at stock is holding my results back?? Hmm, I think it's probably that.
Yeah I saw your post, plus a bunch of others and all of them say it's very quite. I'm really hoping that my PSU fan is defective because the noise drives me crazy. I have a Lian-Li PCV1100 2 Plus case and it is supposed to be silent so having this current PSU is just a waste.
My PSU runs at...
I bought a PCP&C Silencer 750 (was supposed to be a Quad but the company screwed up) and this thing is LOUD. It runs on high all the time and never quites down. I have an EVGA 680i, e6600, 1 HD, 1 optical drive and a 6800 GT. Running everything at stock. The company is going to replace my...
I'm building a new system and using a 6800GT for now. I have the bare minimum in my case right now and I'm not sure if I can get it to POST or not. No image shows up on my Samsung 225BW. My 6800GT has a DVI-I Dual Link and my Samsung has a DVI-D Dual Link and I connected them with a DVI-D...
If you cut these parts off, how does it connect to the mobo?
EDIT: Do you mean you just take all of the pieces in the center away? So that there's just the four screw holes and that thin plastic lining?
I recently bought a 225BW but I have one problem with it. I connect it to my computer using Analog VGA, and I have an apperature type line going vertically 3 quarters from the left of the screen. I can't provide a picture as it doesn't capture using "print screen". It distorts whatever is...
