    Dell U2412M

After two exchanges my third panel is free of defects. All three of my panels had pretty severe IPS glow, so I guess this is just inevitable with this monitor. I have a U2410 at work, and overall I think the U2410 is much better than the U2412M. The U2410 seems to have much less IPS glow.

    Dell U2412M

My first panel had backlight bleed and it didn't get any better over a week until I sent it back.

This looks like IPS glow rather than backlight bleed. Does the brightness change if you change your viewing angle?

It's stuck bright. It's pretty noticeable on an all-black background, though not very noticeable in other scenarios. When I buy a new product I expect it to be free of defects. In the case of stuck pixels, Dell definitely agrees with me since they have an explicit stuck-pixel exchange policy.

    Dell U2412M

Ugh. I received my replacement from Dell today. There's almost no backlight bleed, but this unit has a stuck pixel :(. From my sample size of 2, the quality control on these monitors seems really bad. I'm running a tool that alternates colors to try to fix the stuck pixel, but if this...

No idea. I got transferred twice before someone finally processed the return.

    Dell U2412M

The problem hasn't gotten any better so I called Dell for an exchange. The rep was friendly but it took about 20 minutes on the phone to get the exchange processed. By coincidence I recently got two U2410s and work at they're both perfect. I like the styling of the U2410 better but it's not...

Wow, after seeing your picture I am definitely exchanging mine. Hopefully I just got a rare bad panel rather than you got a rare good panel :).

The upper-right corner looks worse in the picture than in person. It's not noticable in typical use. But the lower-right is horrible. I can notice it when playing full-screen games in normal room lighting.

    Dell U2412M

I just received a U2412M today and the backlight bleed is pretty bad: I'm going to give it a few days to break in, but it's probably going back. Are other models like the HP ZR24W less prone to this problem? I'm trying to decide if I should exchange or get a refund.
