I read a review of this case somewhere that suggested taping a couple layers of folded paper or cardstock in between the cages to ensure a tighter fit.
There's probably a slicker way of achieving the same effect.
I'm not sure why you brought this up after I've reported that the build is successful. At any rate, it's hard to tell from the photographs, but there's actually a fair bit of clearance between the hoses and the GPU. In fact we were discussing that very issue in the other thread; but you'd have...
Final update on this issue: the Gene-Z arrived and had no problem powering the H60. Latest pics are here:

To be sure, I could have powered the pump from a molex connector or something; but the failure of the case fan header on the...
When I wrote that I was in a hurry to get the new build running, so I didn't stop to take any pictures. I just closed the box up and got on with the software. But it turns out I was not too impressed with the Gene-Z's onboard sound (I don't much care for Realtek chips), so I ended up ordering an...
The H60 instructions indicate it should be plugged in one of the case fan headers. I believe the pump has to be running full speed all the time, so it shouldn't be connected to CPU_FAN or CPU_OPT. I'm pretty sure I plugged it into the one that's just above the PCIE slot (and right next to the...
My Gene-Z came in a couple days ago, and I got right to work on it. I installed the H60 with the hoses connecting to the radiator on the opposite side of the enclosure, as before. This time I also moved the disk drives down to the floor of the case and got rid of the HDD cage altogether.
There...
Good luck diz! I also just arranged to return my Gigabyte MB (which was somehow unable to power my H60's pump) and apply the refund toward a Gene-Z. I'm waiting for that board to arrive. Let us know how you get on with it; I am a bit worried about clearances around the pump block, as the Gene-Z...
No, the video card would be behind the tubing. Let's go back to my "after" photo:
It's hard to tell in this picture, but at the point where the tube passes behind the HDD SATA cables, it's already about 1 cm in front of the graphics card (that is, it's closer to the camera than the edge of...
That's a good point, and I was in fact thinking of doing it that way...
But I had to go into town today, so I dropped by the shop where I bought my computer parts and discussed the situation with my contact there. He agreed that the motherboard does not seem to be performing as expected, and...
There may be room if the card is say a centimeter longer; any more than that, however, and it wouldn't be possible to mount the H60 as I have done.
It might be possible to fit in a longer card if you mount the radiator with the hoses on the motherboard side of the case (as shown in my "before"...
There is indeed RAM in the 2nd and 4th slots from the CPU. (But Gigabyte calls them slots 1 & 2.) To answer dizbmikuni's question: yes, there's one or two centimeters clearance between the tops of my memory sticks and the hoses. It's possible to insert and remove memory with the radiator...
It's hard to use realtemp when I haven't been able to install Windows yet. ;)
And ... we have a result! I slapped the block back on (without waiting for my AS-05 to arrive; I figured the existing TIM would be good enough for a brief test) and hooked everything up as before. This time I left the...
Hmm, now I'm really wondering. I'll try that and see if I hear anything.
Thanks for the tips, OCOC.
I noticed that, stopped installing the H60 at that point, and Googled to make sure it was normal. (It may have been your thread that I found.)
Yes, there's a notch on one end to fit over a...
I chose the H60 because it reportedly outperformed the H50 in every review I read, and it was also said to be quieter. Oh, and it was a good 10 bucks cheaper at the shop where I buy my parts. (They had to have one sent over from another shop, because they were sold out; but there were still...
As far as I can tell, the BIOS files available from Gigabyte's site come in .exe files that I can't execute because I only have one Windows machine at the moment, and that's the one I'm building. Bit of a Catch-22 there. But there may be someone nearby who can help me with that; I'll have to...
