    ? re: Triple CrossfireX

The PLX "PEX 8647" is a 48 lane bridge. It does not depress the original x16 slot into a pair of x8, that's silly. Check GPU-Z (if utilizing the 6990 currently) ; each 6970 GPU is linked to a full 5.0 GT/s access point to the bridge, which means there is full bandwidth between both the CPU &...

MSI N580GTX Lightning XE 3GB Video Card Review @ [H]

Tri/Quad 6900 series cards work flawlessly on 3x30" monitors. Quite often whilst enabling 2x-4x EQAA, albeit not under all circumstances. 6900 series cards similarly work well in 5x1 portrait @ 11 megapixels. 3 GB 580 cards are, surely, indisputable promoting highest playable settings at...

Man Unknowingly Liveblogs Bin Laden Operation

This incorrectly presumes that money maintains some intrinsic "evil" quality. It doesn't, obviously. I don't know how a reference to God on a currency is analogous to whoring products in a temple on the sabbath. Pretty absurd.

Picking a GPU for my first build

GTX 570 is too limited in framebuffer and notorious for having weak VRMS. A few frames compared to the 6950 competition makes for a silly rationale to choose one above the other. The additional RAM & bandwidth provide a nice path for upgrading resolution without sacrificing IQ.

    Eyefinity+crossfire setup - best advice

5800 series was problematic for Xfire / Eyefinity.6900 series is absolutely not. Triple 6970/6950 is the sweet spot for fluditiy, frame-rates & image quality.

    Yeah, absolutely bottlenecking.

Would You LIke to See Another Round of PCIe Scaling Evaluation?

I wouldn't mind it, specifically next generation. PCI-E 3.0 would provide a nice opportunity for re-evaluation.

NVIDIA GeForce 3-Way SLI and Radeon Tri-Fire Review @ [H]

Both configurations are CPU restrained. I'm seeing 25-30% improvement going from 3.6 to 5 GHz on warhead, bf:bc2 and metro (trifire 6970)

NVIDIA GeForce 3-Way SLI and Radeon Tri-Fire Review @ [H]

There's a clear cpu limitation in fully utilizing the third card. Vega clearly has proved this to satisfaction of anyone evaluating the data objectively. When it comes to max playable setting, the 3gb gtx is the requisite. As the Radeons similarly scale in correlation to clock speed, though, I...

NVIDIA GeForce 3-Way SLI and Radeon Tri-Fire Review @ [H]

I set up triple crossfire with 965/1425 clocks and ran through dead city (5 minute run) AAA and garnered 67 fps. Very smooth, low of 42. Im very interested to see comparative benefit with potential bottleneck removed now as it appears to hold significant influence. I ran at roughly 6000 x 1080...
