Just a dumb suggestion...instead of using mounts (which can be complicated), just use a sym link for the redirect. If you're using ubuntu with a process that's controlled by apparmor, be sure to include the additional directories in the apparmor config.

That just blew my mind. :) that's why I love you guys. What's your thoughts about using an SSD for a system disk on Ubuntu. Some of those apps I'm intending to use like mysql. I was thinking the SSD would give that a nice speed boost.

Well, I did find some youtube clips of the external radiator performance that was pretty compelling. They were earlier models, but they seem to be the awesome.
