Will an ATI 9800 Pro work with Win 7 Aero?

It seems to be working fine on a mobility 9700 I have as well.

    New ATI Stream OpenCL Platforms

OpenCL kernels are written in what is very close to C99. There are a few additions, notably address space qualifiers and support for short vector syntax, and some restrictions around recursion and function pointers. While the host side API might look a little scary at first (kind of like DX vs...

    F@H CoreStatus = FFFFFFF6 (-10) error on new ATI 4830 card

Actually, we did post in the folding forums about an issue with XP and provided a link to a hotfix. http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/GPU-5-Catalyst93HOTFIXFireStrm.aspx We had a race with getting in a last minute folding fix for the 1.24 core (and future cores) that caused a hiccup...

    ATI check

Actually, the numbers got inflated because we were very much CPU limited on the smaller proteins, especially on 48XX, and they were not. We have a core that drops CPU load, but we have run into issues with triggering VPU recovers on XP, which we believe will be fixed in the next driver, and...

    New ATI Core?

Actually, for the smallest proteins, we are still not using all SPs on a 48XX.

    ATI Driver Issue?

Are you using the client or the driver supplied CAL dlls?

    Something to consider (ATI)

There should be small performance increases for all boards, but you may only notice it with the larger WUs. This core update does utilize the shaders on the 48XX boards better, but the small proteins are still fighting me a little and we are continuing to work on that.

4870x2 - IS there a way to get both GPUs folding?

They are aimed at decreased CPU utilization.

    ATI GPU2 - Lambda Repressor

Performance as compared to Nvidia will depend on WUs. Currently, I don't believe Nvidia is doing lambdas, but I expect we close a bunch of the performance gap, at least until Scott from Nvidia takes another optimization pass. But, at least both cores (ATI and Nvidia) seem to be stable, so now...

    ATI GPU2 - Lambda Repressor

Combination of both. We will naturally do better with larger proteins, as you are seeing now. Performance of small to mid sized proteins will relate more to core updates and optimizations. The core is the only thing I can control directly, so that is where we spend our time. What work units...

    ATI GPU2 - Lambda Repressor

I was just teasing. ;-) I pop in and out regularly. And yes, thank you for more information as it helps narrow down the problem as we hunt for an exact reproduction case and having more folks providing as much detail as possible as we test new things is really useful.
