I've never had ones fully threaded that's why I assumed rad screws were similar. I have 4 Alphacool rads and all of them came with sets of screws that only have the tip threaded. So when I saw the fully threaded screws I thought what you thought...

I've never seen one like that before. All of mine the threads go all the way from head down to the end of the shaft. Odd...

Its really good to do because it can be sacrificial if its really mangled. And you dont want to try and thread that screw into a brass heat set or some other threaded softer material where itll just destroy that. This way if you screw up a nut...

Solid tips. I knew about my WTB option in our forum but wanted to see if there were others. You know, like Swappa or BackMarket for phones, but for WC. Thank you all.

Plenty of good deals to be had on here, just have to bide your time. Another option is to figure out what you are wanting and then post up a WTB thread. A lot of times there are people like me who have been intending on listing things, but...

I get mine at our local True Value hardware. They have a whole of aisle of fasteners. We also have a place here called Tacoma Screw. And yes, put a nut on before you cut to essentially rethread the screw. When you cut it, it messed up the...

Ahhh, I never knew about the nut trick to force a rethread. I have always had a little resistance when I go to screw it in and I just push past it. I'll be doing that from now on when I have to cut.

Looking for a tip on where to go to get quality used watercooling gear. Been wanting to for years, done plenty of research, just don't like the startup price for new rads, pumps, reservoirs, fittings, blocks etc... Does anything like that exist...

Rethread the end? This doesn't make sense. The threads are there, you're just cutting part of the shaft. This is only if local hardware store doesn't have 20mm in stock but does have 30mm. Lose the top end? Do you mean the head of the screw? You...

Agreed with above. Ace, HomeDepot, Lowes, Menards, whoever you have as a local hardware store should have M3 screws, you're looking for probably 20mm but if they only have 30mm you can cut it down with a hacksaw, bolt cutters, angle grinder, etc...

My wife tasked me with finding an old Nickelodeon series and it's not complete on IPT. Does anybody have a BTN invite? Or another private tracker that I might be able to try? I'll happily trade an IPT invite.

Thanks for pointing that out. This was just an example picture and not the one I was looking at. That one doesn't clearly show both sides ports simultaneously in one picture. G1/4 all the way for all of my selections. :-)

Thought so, just wanted to be sure. I've noticed lots of gimmicks used for anti vortex, or even waterfall features, but I immediately understood the reason for the small tube inside. I plan on having that on top and making sure my fluid is filled...

Finally have enough disposable income to justify the desire to do my first watercooled rig. Been researching, reading, verifying info, and then going back around again to make sure I don't waste my money on useless junk. One question that keeps...

FWIW new UPS batteries are easily available from refurbups.com. I've gotten replacement batteries as well as refurbished UPSes from them and never had a problem. They even have a recycling program if you don't have one locally, just pay shipping...
