    That sounds really high. What does it get to at load? When I had my Q6600 on air cooling, I think it idled about 32 or something like that.

    Is this a bad time to buy a new card?

    I'd pick a 6950 that has a highish unlock rate then, like the sapphire dirt 3 edition, toxic (if you can find it), or the twin frozr III 2 GB one. (Then again, you could just get a 560ti and resell the Batman AC game to make it probably the cheapest option.
