    I would recommend a G4 Powerbook 15" if you can find a good deal on one. Decent power with portability when you need it

    Actually I believe the Creative MuVo series would be much better choice. The higher capacity models have a built in display and all have a built in USB connector. Plus it runs on AAA batteries so it is easy to always have it ready to go. But if you need the Apple name I would get the 1G shuffle.

    Free Vista Business / Office 2007 Questionable

    You only have to pay taxes on it if you get both Vista Business and Office 2007. This is because the price of them together is over $600 (or maybe it was $700) so you must pay taxes on it. So if you only get Vista Business or Office 2007 (not both) you do not have to pay taxes on it.
