Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I just set up this monitor for the first time and I think I have a similar issue. The picture is shifted about half a centimeter to the left, and I am not sure how to correct it. Is this something I need to do with the video card? I don't have the ATI Catalyst control panel installed. I just...
I took a look at those sager laptops that tickle_me_emo mentioned. It was not a brand I am familiar with, but they seem to offer some great laptops. I didn't realize people were selling 19inch laptops. I would probably have to see one of these in person before buying one, which I doubt that I...
It looks like the MacBook Pro is going to be the winner. gunnm74 and swatbat raised some great points about Macs. I looked for Lenovo laptops, but they don't seem to offer any 17inch screens. The Toshiba laptops look nice, but are targeted for multimedia purposes.
Thanks for the suggestions.
You are correct that I don't need a 3D card, since I will not be playing games. I guess that knocks the XPS down a peg.
My reason for thinking of a 17inch screen would be in case where I have to work at the client site for a few weeks. The 24 inch monitor I...
I am going to start evaluating laptops to use for Web development work while traveling, and for presentations and meetings. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, SQL Server. My two top choices are Dell XPS M1710 and the 17 inch MacBook Pro. What else should I consider? Something by Toshiba...
I have been thinking about buying a 17inch MacBook Pro and using it as a Windows XP machine until OS X 10.5 comes out, but then I remembered that it only has one mouse button. I think a laptop with only one mouse button would be very frustrating to use.
Open up the video in QuickTime. Select the loop option. Press play. Also turn off your screen saver and disable the monitor power management.
This program did not work for me. I ran it over night.
