    Amd Why?

dunno ... but the nearly infinite amount of benchmarks out for the last 2 years say you are wrong. This is not an opinion it's a fact, fix your problem and quit throwing carpet statements.

    Amd Why?

no thanks, I can only take so much laughter.... I skipped P4 altogether. There are definitely cases where AMD is indeed the better buy as stated by a few above. OT: I am starting to believe that all these people with the "slower but smoother" statements are simply having problem with their...

    Amd Why?

ahhhh yes, you must be from the "AMD is slower but smoother" camp, LOL Now, I remember why I hit the [H] once every month or so it is all about comic relief

    Question for flight simulator junkies!

Hey guys, I am trying to get into flight sims again after being out for a very long time. I have been looking into what is out there right now and I am struggling between what to get..... Microsoft FSX versus X-plane 9.0. I have owned X-plane 7 and although it had very realistic flight...

so fustrated ! what can i do??

Check with cpuz that your board is not dafaulting your PCIE link width to x1 instead of x16. This happens to me all the time and I need to play around with NB voltage to fix it.

A legitimate question thread by Shambler

heh, whatever you buy now will make a HUGE difference. Even when I upgraded from a 7600GT to my 8800GT it was huge! That said I would go with a E8400 and ATI 4850 if you are into gaming, or Q6600 if you do video encoding or that sort of thing. I say E8400 because my cousin just recently...

What Are All You 8800GT Owners Doing?

I have no need for anything more than my 8800GT for the games I play and at my resolutions (1440x900). I may actually buy another one if their prices drop a lot more just for folding.

    Hilarious Graphics Glitches

I ALT-TAB out of TF2 in Vista x64 just fine and it takes 2-4 seconds like someone said. My system is in my sig. However there are indeed random crashes and sh*t during the game every now and then which are related to NVIDIA driver issues. And there is also the annoying crash when you close TF2...

    Multicores just a compensation?

would you rather have a 5GHz Pentium4 or a 3GHz Core2 (assume it was single core)? It is not just about clocks speed you would think people had learned this a long time ago

Need Advice QUICK.... decision has to be made toay

Even though I love my Q6600 I would say save your money unless you have real needs for one. Your E6600 at 3.6GHz should be able to carry you easily through this 1-1.5 years cycle upgrade you have and by then the Q6600 will be cheaper and there will be possibly better quads. A Q6600 G0 should...

Can't figure the cause of lag stutters

if stuttering in games only then check in cpuz that your mobo's pcie link width for your graphic card is at x16 and not x1. If it is at x1 then try changing your FSB +1MHz. It's happened to me before.

New to RAID5. Is this normal?

Well I am not sure why it hanged but after 2 hours I got tired and just hit ALT-CTRL-DEL and it booted fine and the array seems to be working fine. I verified them within the Windows Inter Storage Manager. So it is all good. Thanks

New to RAID5. Is this normal?

no sorry, I meant I wiped out the previous array which was RAID0 + RAID1 and I created a new RAID0 and RAID5 matrix from scratch. At least thats what I believe I did.... I chose delete (both previous RAIDs) and I created new ones then I simply exited the Intel Storage Manager

New to RAID5. Is this normal?

I just got 2 more drives to go with my previous 2x250GB seagates (now a total of 4 identical drives). I tried setting the Intel matrix array to RAID 0 (70GB) and RAID5 (645GB). After I finished in the Intel Storage Manager I hit EXIT but it is hanging up I see something scrolling at the top of...
