just one final comment on the built in loudpeakers - the general view i think is that they are arnt very good. Well I dont agree. Certainly at first use they are poor - they need quite a bit of time to loosen up, then they sound quite respectable - in line with many you find on good small tvs...
wel l my Benq GW2450 is still working a year on. It seems to have got a bit better since when I got it. I use mine only for tv/video and it does a very good job, the colours are vibrant. I dont experience any flickering. Even the sound after adjusting with the pc equaliser is ok for...
MirC84./ This is a common problem if u read the previous posts

BenQ GW2460HM review:
http://www.extrahardware.com/benq-gw...choice-eur-200
hmm doesnt look too promising? I only did a quick look thru it and no mention of the issues that plague many people here - various types of coloured ghosting? I judge a review of these VA monitors by the...
Asking alot I think you are. In my case the ghosting is red where eg faces border on dark background eg dark hair. Is very noticeable on ,my early model. Only those circumstances though. Took me about 2 months to see it - I use mine as a TV screen which u dont really stare at all...
I have an early 24", so what I say may not apply to later ones . I use mine only as a media screen for Windows Media Centre so have lots of experience with TV and films and DVDs. My version has in some special circumstances a noticeable red motion blurr, usually of a red based surface...
should be further down in the same window called
Red Video Black level,
Green Video Black level ,
Blue Video Black level
just under
Auto Setup
Clock phase
I had to use the scroll bars at right edge of the window to see them
if u dont have that then maybe cant adjust the black level...
Yes regarding the Benq - the low resolution 1920x 1080 doesnt help motion - much more ragged than with a small monitor I think. I cant imagine a 27" on a desk top - shows all its faults as u are so close up to it
I think an earlier post said that using anything other than the default 60hz undermines the AMA overdrive so you will get blurred motion. The only thing many ppl recommend is that as these monitors show a green bias, lower the green - but u also need to do that for the blacks/shadows...
The important fact you mentioned is "$" So I assume you are in USA? Then dont buy anything Benq. A guy here had no end of trouble with RMA with them. Seems like Benq USA are ... not good.
I have the 24", an early one, dated March. It has motion blurr issues for red in certain conditions...
very surprised at this. I would have agreed about games/movies ( it has issues ) but for general desktop is fine. Colours are ok! Maybe you are so used to your old monitor you want the Benq to be the same?
