Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks guys.
Jeffredo, good point, and yep I've tested that as well. FPS on the 260 was same as before.
Direfox, OK I'll check GPU-Z under heavy stress again. And yes, game settings can be confirmed as being the same as before. See also my comment to Jeffredo above.
TroyX, I bought it "in the...
Yes I see the core clock goes up to 900 etc. in afterburner.
Strangely however, just now I got a phenomena that I haven't had before. When I launch my game now, I first get 17 FPS as always, but then it quickly toggles to 30 FPS for about one second or something, then back to 17 and once more...
I'm very sure that the benchmark is fine, as I even see/feel the bad response times / lag in game. It's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, I'measuring both with in-game reporting and with FRAPS.
As I said before, I've already tried many several different drivers, that's not the point. Tried...
Sorry. Here you go:
Intel i7 940 @ 2.93GHz QuadCore (OCed to 3.4GHz)
Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Mainboard
16 GB Patriot RAM @ 1600 MHz
Thermaltake 750W PSU
Samsung 24" LCD @ 1920x1200 DVI
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit
and the GTX 560Ti has 1024MB VRAM and is not OCed (besides the "Ti").
Do you need to...
Thanks.
in-game reporting and FRAPS. Also, the difference from 17 to 32 frames is a noticeable one even without any tool. So besides the measuring I can see/feel it's way slower now than before.
you mean latest GPU drivers? No, as said, the framerate was better with the old driver, but even...
I should have mentioned it before - I've tried re-installing the old driver that I had initially, but unlike the first time it doesn't give me the FPS it had anymore.
So I assume with one of those de-/re-installations I made something else must have been messed up, either some system...
Hello everybody
I've got a really strange problem. A few days ago I installed a (used) GTX 560Ti as a replacement of my former GTX 260. Same PCI slot, installation of the driver on the driver CD, so far from being the latest driver, without doing a clean installation. Everything worked fine...
